Order Terms and Conditions

At Cranked Up Confections, I’m all about two things: mind-blowingly delicious treats and ridiculously happy customers. If you have any questions about the info below (aka the boring but important stuff), please don’t hesitate to reach out before placing your order.

Once you’ve hit that sweet “Submit Payment” button for your (clearly amazing) order—because let’s be real, you’re amazing—you’re saying “Yep, I’m cool with the terms below.” And that’s awesome. Because my baked goods? Also awesome.

Booking Your Order

Booking & Payments. You pay, I bake! Payment is required up front so that I can source your cute cutters, spectacular sprinkles, cute cake toppers and perfect packaging. It also protects my business from no-show/no-payment when orders are paid up front, which keeps my prices down. Your payment reserves your pick-up date too! Win win for all of us!

Lead Times. It is best to order your items as soon as your have your event date and number of guests available. I book up 2-4 weeks in advance for custom orders and 6 months or more in advance for weddings. Some dates will go more quickly than others.

Last Minute Orders. To keep things running smoothly (and fabulously), custom orders need to be placed at least 14 days in advance. In a hurry? If I can fit it in and have the supplies, I’ll do my best! Just note that a 25% Miracle Fee will apply for orders with less than 14 days’ notice—because pulling off last minute magic takes a little extra sparkle. ✨

Share Your Inspiration

Colors & Designs. When placing your order please provide exact details of what you are envisioning. Inspiration pictures, color schemes and other input is always welcome! The more information you provide about your special occasion the better.

Color Matching. Pictures are worth a thousand words. But they're not always accurate. Colors and lighting in photos may be slightly different than what you end up with. Colors and designs of actual order may vary slightly from images provided or sent by you, due to the difference in digital and edible components. Also - cookies in photos may not be true to size! (which is a bummer, I'd frankly love to eat an 8.5x11 in cookie).

Inspiration Pics. Thanks tons for bringing those inspo pictures! They're just that - inspiring. While design inspiration photos are extremely helpful for me to get an idea of the look you want, please understand that to respect other people's talents, I do not make exact copies of anyone else's work and I will not provide perfect replicas. Please feel free to attach any pictures, party decor, invitations, cookie and cake design, etc. and we will use those resources to create personalized items you are sure to love.

A Note on AI Generated Inspiration. I love when you bring me ideas for your dream decorated cookies, cakes, and cupcakes! But here’s the thing: if your inspiration photo was created with AI, it may not be fully realistic — think gravity-defying flowers, icing thinner than a hair, or details that simply don’t exist outside of robot land. While I’ll always do my best to capture the vibe and style you’re going for, exact replication of AI designs isn’t possible. Because here’s the truth: AI can fake it, but I bake it — and real icing has limits. So treat AI inspo like a mood board, not a blueprint—I’ll take that fantasy and turn it into something gorgeous, delicious, and 100% real.

Local Order Pick Up & Delivery

Scheduling Pick Up or Delivery. Pick up and delivery dates, times and locations are set upon ordering. This is because other customers need their goodies too! I have pick up and dates and times to accommodate most schedules - so put that order in your calendar!

Local Delivery. While order pick up is always free (which is highly encouraged) Local Delivery is available for all custom orders over $50.00. The cost of delivery is based on mileage at the current federal rate of 70 cents/mile round trip.

No Show = No Order. I get it. Life happens. We all get busy or forget things. However, once your date has been scheduled, you will be expected to arrive on time or be available to accept delivery. Due to the perishable nature of these products, if pick up/delivery still has not taken place by the end of the next business day, your order will be forfeited without refund. But take heart - I'll donate the items to a well deserving family or organization.

It's All Yours Now. Once you have received your order (thanks again, by the way), what happens to your confections and car doors (I hate door dings) is all on you! Follow the Care Care Instructions to keep your items safe.

Shipping

Shipping. As much as I'd love to hand deliver each and every item - unfortunately, I need the help of USPS Priority Mail to get goodies into the hands of customers who are not local to me. I do my best to package all shipped items for a rough ride, but damaged items are a possibility and a non-refundable risk you take when placing a shipped order.

Shipping Delays. While I ship USPS Priority Mail, I can't guarantee that "rain, sleet, snow or hail" won't delay your order. Refunds can't be offered - but know that they're on their way. Once tracking information is provided, claims for lost orders can be placed with USPS.

Whoops. Wrong Address! If your item is returned due to your providing an incorrect mailing address, due to perishability of the items, I must dispose of the contents and no refunds will be issued.

Order Changes & Cancellations

Date/Time Changes. Need to reschedule your order? Please reach out no less than 3 days prior to your pick up or delivery date. However please keep in mind that because I do book up so quickly and have other obligations that a reschedule date must be done around my schedule.

Customer Cancellations. Payments are not refunded in case of a customer cancellation. Any payments made can be applied to future orders if cancellation is made at within 24 hours of the order being placed.

Baker Cancellations. Cranked Up Confections does reserve the right to cancel orders in case of an illness or emergency and 100% of payment will be refunded in this situation.

Oh Mother Nature. In the event of an unavoidable situations such as a tornado, fire or any other Act of Nature, no refunds will be given and you may reschedule for a full store credit.

Can You Offer a Discount?

Discounts. Please understand that my items are not mass produced. They are custom made-to-order and baked fresh especially for you! Unfortunately, quantity does not equate to cost/time savings and therefore I do not offer a discount based on quantity.

Photographs & Marketing

I'm My Own Paparazzi. Cranked Up Confections reserves the rights to photograph all of our work and use those photos on our website, social media and/or marketing materials and/or in displays or promotions without compensation to you.

Allergens & Other Risks

Allergen Notice. All of my items are made in a kitchen containing known food allergens including but not limited to milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, gluten, soybean and sesame and as such we cannot guarantee cross-contact will not occur or that any of our items are free from traces of these allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold Cranked Up Confections harmless for allergic reactions. If you are concerned about ANY type of allergy, I strongly advise against placing an order.

In Sickness and in Health. While death will never do us part, you're consuming food and with the consumption of anything (including that bottle of wine last night) there are inherent risks. Choking hazards, food illnesses, and allergic reactions are possibilities - albeit, hopefully far reaching.
